We all love the look of a nicely landscaped yard. Brick Retaining Walls and Brick Paver Pathways are an excellent way of adding even more elegance to your property! Not only do Brick Retainer Walls help control soil erosion, they also help keep precious mulch from entering your turf. Although Brick Retainer Walls and Pathways are some of the most pleasing and eye catching features of a landscaped yard, they are also one of the most labor intensive to install!
Drainage, and weight of subsoil must always be taken into consideration when creating a retaining wall. Often times, a “Weep Hole”, or a drainage line, must be added to help drainage, and avoid structural problems. If a retainer wall is not installed with proper drainage, especially in an area with previous drainage problems, it can eventually cause the wall to fail.
