2015 Fall Cleanup

With so many apple orchards, cider mills, haunted houses, and other Fall attractions in Michigan, the last thing you want to spend your free time doing is cleaning up leaves and preparing your beds for Winter!

Let Total Lawn Care, Inc handle that Fall Clean for you. Our service includes:
• Removal of any remaining annual flowers. (We cut back perennials and landscape grasses if needed).
• Clearing and removal of all debris and leaves from landscape beds and turf areas.
• A trim of the grass areas and edging the cement.
• Does NOT include shrub trimming. (However, we can add this service for an additional cost.)
• Debris removal is per cubic yard.(Equivalent of 6- 1/2 Brown Paper Bags)

Special Services 2015

SOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERApring start for gardening is here. Total Lawn Care, Inc. offers many special services to help with all your gardening and landscape needs. Weeding and cultivating can be scheduled weekly, biweekly or on monthly occurrences to meet your site landscape needs. We use cultural and chemical controls were needed for the best results. Annual garden color rotations start in spring after the frost date May 15th or later if we have a cool May. Frost has been an issue in the past. Annuals are installed through June. Planter pots can be planted throughout the season. Perennials are also planted throughout the season. Fall color rotations are installed late September through October to enhance the fall landscape. Special services are not limited to garden areas only. We offer debris removal, clean ups, core aeration, over seeding, sod installation, bed soil amendments, lighting, and bed top dressing. We use double shredded hardwood bark mulch, colored bark mulch, pine straw mulch, compost, plant mix and stone products to top dress bed areas. Fertilization including Organic Fertilizers are applied to bed areas to help maintain plant color, vigor and density. Pest controls after proper pest identification can be applied. It is time to start planning services for the 2015 Garden season.

Irrigation 2015

Sign up and get your irrigation system spring check up underway.  Total Lawn Care Inc. will turn on the water supply; check the irrigation clock controller for appropriate time settings per zone, set run times and days, check the vacuum breaker and run all zones to assure proper coverage.  All heads will be adjusted as needed to maximize water resources.  Irrigation sensors if installed will be checked.  If needed Total Lawn Care Inc. Irrigation Tech can install sensors to help conserve water and keep water bills down.  Any system repairs or upgrades can be approved and repaired on site in most cases.   There is a variety of new water conserving irrigation heads and drip line products that are available to upgrade the existing systems.  New system installations and zone area additions can be performed by Total lawn Care Inc.  Mid season site checks and irrigation audits can be scheduled to monitor your irrigation system.  Fall comes quick, schedule the irrigation shut down with your start up to make sure you have your irrigation system Winterized in time.  The irrigation shut down includes turning off the water supply and irrigation clock controller.  We use an air compressor to remove all moisture from the lines, vacuum breaker, valves and heads to assure no winter damage from freezing temperatures.  Schedule your irrigation services today.

Total Lawn Care’s 21st Season!

If you are considering an enhancement or renovation project this year, please help us to give your project preference by calling early to plan with one of our staff professionals.

Updates as we prepare for our 21st season!

Lower fuel prices mean that there will be NO price increases to the services contracts and we will not apply fuel surcharges unless gas rises above $3.20/gal. We continue to explore viable, alternative fuel sources and new technologies to help keep prices down and lower fuel emissions.

Phase 2 of the landscape installation project at Mahle’s World Headquarters is complete and was awarded The Farmington Hills Beautification Award for the ‘creation of a beautiful place to work and live’.

We took in over 750 tons of compostable material and processed it into rich, fertile and repurposed compost, which was thereby diverted from our landfills.

We remain steadfastly committed to the promotion of The Healthy Lawn Care Program. See enclosed program details.

There are four MGIA/Professional Land Care Landscape Certified Technicians, one International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and one Michigan Nursery and Landscape Certified Green Industry Professional on staff this season and we continue to promote furthering education, training and development for all of our team members.

Lawn Mowing, Lawn Cutting

 

As we enter our 20th year of providing outdoor services to our clients, we look forward to providing you with the same level of service over the past years which has helped us reach the great milestone.  We continue to train and retain a great staff which will provide you with quality workmanship and outstanding work.    Our staff includes certified arborists, state certified fertilizer and weed applicators, and certified landscapers who have passed tests per the national association of landscapers, PLANET, which we are members.

           Our weekly lawn service consists of the lawn mowing,      edging of the grass next to cement driveways, sidewalks, and patios and curbs.  We also trim along the edges of asphalt driveways.  We also trim around objects that are located next to the grass.  At the end of each cut, we clean off all paved surfaces and patios.
